The Fishing Club’s Executive Committee has authorized another increase in the organization’s annual donation to the CFPOA Employees Fund, to $1,100 this year. A check has been presented to Jim Whitmore.
The club boosted its donation from $800 to $1,000 last year. It has been steadily increasing it over the years to show its appreciation for all the ways the employees help with the group’s community projects.
“They’re indispensable!” said the club’s president, Jim Bailey. “Certainly, our Fish Fry each summer wouldn’t be the same without their help… not to mention all the other ways they make things happen to benefit our club members and the community at large.”
An upcoming example, said Jim, will be the maintenance department’s role in erecting new outdoor public service bulletin boards at several of our lakes. The club is donating the signs as part of its Community Service program.
